Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible material that has been used in medicine for many years. When injected, it acts gradually to help stimulate the body’s own collagen production over time. This can improve the look of facial volume loss and create a more refreshed appearance.
HOW DOES SCULPTRA WORK?
- Works gradually over a series of treatments to support collagen production
-
Often considered for individuals with more generalized facial volume loss
-
Results develop over weeks to months and may be long-lasting in some patients
-
The duration of results varies; in some studies, effects have been observed beyond a year
Sculptra vs. Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, which provide immediate volume by filling the treated area, Sculptra® works gradually. It helps stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin, leading to a more natural-looking restoration of volume over time.
Potential Areas for Treatment
- Temples
- Lateral cheeks
- Mid cheeks
- Jowls/marionette lines
- Neck/decolletage
- Nasolabial folds
- Buttocks

How Many Vials Do I Need
The number of vials recommended varies depending on age, degree of volume loss, and individual treatment goals. Some manufacturers provide general guidelines (e.g., multiple vials may be required for initial treatment, with additional vials used over time for maintenance), but the exact plan is personalized during consultation. Your healthcare provider will assess your individual needs and create a tailored treatment plan. Results and number of sessions vary by patient.
Individual results may vary. Treatment outcomes depend on a variety of factors, including age, skin condition, medical history, and individual response. A consultation with a licensed healthcare professional is required to determine suitability and develop a personalized treatment plan. No results are guaranteed
