Who we are
Dr. S. Xu, BSc., PharmD
Founder
Dr. S. Xu, BSc., PharmD is a healthcare professional with a specialty in dermatological treatments. She founded YYC Botox in 2021 shortly after graduating as a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Alberta.
Dr. Xu is thrilled to be delivering the newest, most up-to-date treatments to help you meet your skincare and aesthetic goals.
She is an advanced injector with more than 10,000 injections completed cosmetically. She is a firm believer in lifelong education and invests her weekends in self-learning and attending international conferences in medical aesthetics.
Dr. Xu specializes in delivering natural anti-aging and beautification results that are never overdone.
Kathy Nguyen
Medical Aesthetician
Kathy is a medical aestheticians with over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry. A graduate of Delmar College’s Clinical Esthetics program, she specializes in advanced treatments including chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, IPL, laser, and facial treatments.
Kathy is passionate about helping clients feel confident in their skin by creating a supportive and educational environment. She’s excited to work with you to personalize a treatment plan and guide you on every step of your skincare journey.
Stephanie Grove
Nurse Injector
Stephanie is a nurse with 20 years of experience in women’s health, maternal support and general medicine. She completed her training in Dermal Fillers and Neuromodulators at Frida Academy in May 2024 and is excited to bring her skills to YYC Botox. Known for her calm, compassionate approach, Stephanie creates a safe and welcoming space where clients feel supported and empowered.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling, and discovering new foods and cultures.
Sarina Falcione, PhD
Client Care Coordinator
Sarina graduated from the University of Alberta with her PhD in Medicine, where her research focused on thrombosis in ischemic stroke. Alongside her academic achievements, she has a strong passion for supporting others and helping people look and feel their best.
At YYC Botox, she combines her scientific background with her dedication to patient care and education, creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable and valued. Outside of work, Sarina enjoys spending time with her pets, knitting, and rock climbing.
Yoobin Kim
Nurse Injector
Yoobin has nearly five years of nursing experience in Cardiac Neurosurgery and travel nursing, bringing precision and patient-centered care to every treatment. She discovered her passion for aesthetics through facial balancing and natural rejuvenation, where science meets creativity.
Drawing from her Korean background, she stays current with global beauty trends and tailors treatments to highlight each client’s unique features. Outside the clinic, she enjoys weightlifting, painting, knitting, and playing the flute, reflecting the same artistry and discipline she brings to her work in aesthetics.
